After viewing the panel with the cording and drawing completed, I decided it needed further development. Certain areas were selected to quilt using grey thread. This adds another layer of texture that compliments the vertical flow of the cords.

    I really like what the quilting adds to the piece. I hope you do more with it - maybe with different colors and/or different weights of thread? What about incorporating knots or tangles? So many possibilities...

    Thanks, Barb. That is what I love about this project - the possibilities. For me, this is just the beginning of a full body of work that I will continue to explore for some time.

    The quilting does add to the texture.

    Have you considered having some holes in the material?
